Breakfast for Dinner - Bacon and Eggs With Toast

breakfast

Doesn't this bacon, eggs and toast look yummy?  Why not spice up your normal dinner routines with a breakfast every now and then.

This is especially nice for those of you who don't have time to cook and eat breakfast with each other on a regular basis.

I can't stress enough how important it is for a family to sit down with each other in the early evening to discuss their day.  How else are you going to find the bonding time that families these days need so badly?  You can kill two birds with one stone because everyone has to eat dinner and it's always nice to socialize with the other people who live in your house.

Eating Out For a Change

Tonight we have decided to eat out.  I am going to choose a local restaurant from this list of Springboro Restaurants.  If you have ate at any or all of these places please let me know in the comments what you think about them.  Don't be afraid to tell me what you did or did not like about any particular place to eat.

Why Not Blog About Whats for Dinner

I cook some pretty good meals.  I keep all the picky eaters in my home happy, so why not share with everyone what we are having for dinner each night.  I do feed the kids just a little bit different than the two of us but we are on a carbohydrate diet or sorts, well more him than me but I try to be supportive.

Last night I wanted to fill my plate with the macaroni and cheese I had made for the kids but I managed to wait until he had left the kitchen to sneak a few bites for myself.  I think he knew I was eating some.

I had made chicken breasts in the oven on my Pampered Chef bar pan and then I made us a big salad and the kids mac n cheese.

It was filling enough but I think your body craves carbohydrates like a drug.  I know I wanted everything last night from cake to ice cream and chocolates but I managed to get by with just eating a snack size butterfinger.  It was the smallest of the snack sized too.  Craving carbohydrates is a bad thing, and I love them dearly but with him on this Atkins diet where he can only have a few carbs each day I have naturally cut back on them myself.  The scale proves it too because I've lost almost 7 pounds over the last couple of weeks.  He has dropped almost 15 pounds eating this way in 3 weeks.  The first week he strictly stuck to meats and proteins but it was easy for him because he loves eggs and bacon and pork loin, just meat in general.

So anyway, back to the topic at hand here, I am going to keep track of the foods we eat for dinner every night right here on this blog.  You can come here for inspiration and cooking ideas of your own.  I will share my simple to make recipes that keep my kids and hubby smiling at every meal.

Now, to figure out what I'm going to have tonight- stay tuned until tomorrow when I reveal the dishes I made for dinner tonight.
